About this tool
OGG files turn up in game folders, open-source apps, Wikipedia audio and Telegram voice messages. Inside is usually Vorbis or Opus audio, which both sound good at small sizes, but iPhones, many car stereos, editors and upload forms will not play them. This converter re-encodes the sound as an MP3.
Both kinds of OGG work, so you do not need to know which codec is inside. Choose 128 kbps for voice messages, or 192 to 320 kbps for music. The conversion runs on our server with FFmpeg after you agree to the upload, and files are deleted within 30 minutes.
Questions people ask
My Telegram voice message ends in .oga. Will it work?
Rename the ending from .oga to .ogg first. The audio inside is the same Ogg Opus format and converts normally.
Will the MP3 sound better than the OGG?
No. Converting cannot add detail the OGG never had. The MP3 simply plays in more places.
Can I convert OGG to WAV instead?
Yes. Use the audio converter and choose WAV. Many browsers can decode OGG themselves, so that conversion often happens on your device without an upload.
