About this tool
Word opens most .odt files, but upload forms, templates and colleagues often insist on .docx. This converter turns an OpenDocument Text file from LibreOffice, OpenOffice or Google Docs into a Word document with the same text, headings, lists, tables, links, footnotes and images.
The document is rebuilt from its structure with Word's standard styles, so fonts, colours and page settings may change. For a design-heavy document, opening it in LibreOffice and saving it in Word format keeps more of the look. The conversion runs on our server with Pandoc after you agree to the upload, and your file is deleted as soon as the result is ready.

Before you send the Word file
Add headers and footers again
Headers, footers and page numbers are not carried over. Add them in Word if the document needs them.
Fonts may change
The document uses Word's standard fonts. If the look matters, set the Normal and Heading styles in Word once.
Keep the ODT original
Keep the .odt file for further editing in LibreOffice, and send the converted copy.
